ProductsComplianceForm I-9

An electronic Form I-9, from Section 1 to retention.

Signed sections, Section 2 by staff or by an authorized representative for remote hires, reverification on Supplement B, the completed form on the official USCIS PDF, and a hash-chained audit trail, all kept with the person's record.

  • Form I-9  Available

Section 1

A guided Section 1, signed by the consultant.

One question per screen, the form's own wording with plain-language help under it, the documents the consultant will show (their choice), then the attestation and an electronic signature. Completed as a step in onboarding, with a correction path until Section 2 is done.

Section 2

By staff, or by a representative through a link and a code.

Staff record the documents examined, where, and sign. For a remote hire, name an authorized representative: they get an emailed link and a six-digit code, see nothing private before the code, examine the documents in person, complete Section 2 and sign. The link works once and expires.

Staff can also complete Section 2 themselves. Either way the signature records who, when, from where, and how they were identified.

Reverification and retention

Supplement B, retention dates and a counted queue.

Reverification and rehire within three years are recorded on Supplement B and signed. Each record carries its retention date; a legal hold stops disposal; after retention the purge removes personal data and document copies while signatures and history stay. A queue counts what is due.

Record and inspection

The official PDF, a sealed record and an inspection copy.

The completed form is produced on the official USCIS PDF, with the record's id, version and seal on every page and an electronic record page listing every signature and the history. Every view and change is in a hash-chained history; a change made outside the flow shows as a mismatch.

Questions

Asked before a walkthrough.

Is this an electronic Form I-9?

Yes. Sections 1 and 2 and Supplements A and B are signed electronically, with the attestation and the signature statement recorded word for word and the signer, time, address, browser and identification method kept with each signature. Every view and change goes into a hash-chained history, each version is sealed, and the completed form is produced on the official USCIS PDF.

Can a remote hire complete Section 2?

Yes. Staff name an authorized representative, who receives an emailed link and a six-digit code, examines the documents in person, completes Section 2 and signs. The link is single use, expires after seven days, and can be revoked or replaced. The employer is emailed when it is done.

Is E-Verify included?

In practice mode only: simulated cases against each I-9, for training, with no connection to the government system. Live E-Verify is planned: first recording cases you run in your own E-Verify account, later a direct connection.

Who can see I-9 data?

Owners and admins. Consultants see and download their own signed form. Managers, client approvers and vendors have no access to I-9 records, and the document copies are purged with the record after retention.
