Consultants enter the week the way the client counts it. Approvers approve from an email, with no account. Approved hours are fixed, and invoices, vendor bills and payroll files are built on them.
Week view
Seven kinds of hours, the company's own week start, and a PDF per week. Drafts are not timesheets: nothing counts until the consultant submits, and period totals count only the days inside the period.

Email approvals
One link per approver per week. Approve all, approve one day, or ask for changes with a note. Staff can approve on the client's behalf and attach the client's own approval as evidence; a backup approver can step in when a week waits too long, if your company turns that on. Clients approve from the emailed link, with no account needed; client contacts who sign in to the client portal can also see their invoices and roster, and the placement's approver can approve there too. The client portal is switched on per company.

Invoices, vendor bills and payroll files read the hours and rates as they were at approval. A later change is made as a correction with a reason, and the original stays as it was, so what was billed can be traced.
